Mack has lived in Shelby County for his life, and currently lives with his wife there. He earned his associate's degree in agribusiness management. He has been a volunteer firefighter and EMR.

Mack has experience owning and operating his family farm. He also spent time with the Shelby County Highway Department, and as a Green Township fiscal officer.
