Michael is a lifelong resident of Tarrant County. He serves as a deacon at Wedgwood Baptist Church.

Michael currently owns and operates the customer service company Barber & Associates. He previously worked as a police liaison for the Fort Worth mayor’s office and as a Fort Worth police officer.
