Lori Clay was born and raised in Concord, North Carolina, and apart from three years after college, she has proudly called Concord home her entire life. She received her K–12 education in Cabarrus County Schools and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Law from UNC Charlotte. Lori is a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Concord, where she sings in the choir. She has one son, a spoiled Boston Terrier named Thomas Byrd, and a rescue cat named Pickles. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.
