I’ve learned that each one of those judges has different ways of how they handle their calendar calls, how they schedule their hearings, how they handle the emergency hearings, and I’ve learned from each and every one of them. I’ve also learned from the other judges that I’ve appeared before in other counties as well.”

Daniele says she would likely keep some proceedings virtual, such as mediation. She said, “I love the mediations that are being handled through Zoom, I think they are more time effective, I think the attorneys appreciate them more, I think the mediators appreciate it more, and so do the parties, in my opinion, just because of the way that we handle things, and it’s not as expensive for the parties now to mediate.”

- Georgia Superior Court Judges hear a wide range of criminal cases from petty theft and public drunkenness to murder. Some cases in front of the Georgia Superior Court involve the death penalty.
