As a guardian ad litem, she is appointed by the court to investigate a case, report her findings, and make a recommendation based upon the best interests of the child.

I’ve learned that each one of those judges has different ways of how they handle their calendar calls, how they schedule their hearings, how they handle the emergency hearings, and I’ve learned from each and every one of them. I’ve also learned from the other judges that I’ve appeared before in other counties as well.”

Daniele says she would likely keep some proceedings virtual, such as mediation. She said, “I love the mediations that are being handled through Zoom, I think they are more time effective, I think the attorneys appreciate them more, I think the mediators appreciate it more, and so do the parties, in my opinion, just because of the way that we handle things, and it’s not as expensive for the parties now to mediate.”

Gerald has a Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara University School of Law.  He is a widower, and lives in Cobb County with his two sons. He is a member of Congregation Ner Tamid.

Gerald is an assistant district attorney. He works at the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office. He previously worked at the Magistrate Court of Cobb County, his own law practice, and an asset management company.

He also served as an Assisting Superior Court Judge. He began at the Magistrate Court working midnight to 8AM handling search and arrest warrants.

He also worked as a special assistant attorney general with the Georgia Department of Revenue where he represented the Department.

James is from Kennesaw, Georgia. He attended North Cobb High School. He has a bachelor’s from Kennesaw State University and a Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He lives with his wife and daughter in Cobb County. They attend St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church.

James is an attorney. He operates his own legal practice, where he has been for fifteen years. He previously worked at the Law Offices of Gregory A. Hicks.

For example, the benefit of a protective order should be granted on a temporary basis to the petitioner when the respondent seeks a continuance to obtain legal representation.”

James Luttrell

Judge Brown attended Clark Atlanta University and has a Juris Doctor from the John Marshall School of Law. She lives in Kennesaw, Georgia and attends Central United Methodist Church.

Judge Brown is a Judge. She previously worked at the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit’s Office of the District Attorney, the Office of the Dekalb County Solicitor-General, the Office of the Fulton County District Attorney, and Convergent Media Systems Corporation.

Taneesha is from Indiana. She has a bachelor’s in political science and communication from Truman State University and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University. She lives with her husband and three children in Cobb County. She attends the Shaw Temple AME Church.

Taneesha is Regional Counsel of the Southern Division of the Federal Aviation Administration where she has been for seventeen years. She previously worked at Georgia State University and the Cobb County Superior Court.

Taneesha Marshall

- Georgia Superior Court Judges hear a wide range of criminal cases from petty theft and public drunkenness to murder. Some cases in front of the Georgia Superior Court involve the death penalty. 
- On the civil side, Superior Court Judges hear cases on divorce, titles to land, contract disputes, and premises liability. 
- Superior Court Judges are elected by judicial circuit. Each county surrounding Atlanta has its own judicial circuit, while rural judicial districts typically consist of multiple counties.
