While originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Christopher was raised in Boston. He has been a resident of Brunswick for around three years.

Christopher previously worked for major corporations such as AT&T and Canon. Following this, he ventured into commercial diving, operating a business in Florida for two decades.

Lance and his wife Kate have been residents of Historic Downtown Brunswick since 2008. He is the current chairman of the Brunswick Planning & Appeals Commission and the former chairman of the SPLOST Oversight Committee and NewCity Brunswick. He has also been involved with the Glynn Avenue Design Guidelines Committee, ESPLOST PAC, the Historic Brunswick Neighborhood Planning Assembly, and the BATS Oversight Committee. He earned his bachelor of science in business in management information systems and services from the University of Phoenix.
