City of Decatur: City Commission, Tony Powers

Tony is a Decatur native. He attended Decatur High School. He has a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Leisa, live in the Great Lakes neighborhood and have two daughters.

Tony is the co-owner of Intown Ace Hardware and is a member of the board of directors of the South Fork Conservancy. He was a founding member and used to be the chair of the Decatur Education Foundation, chair of the Housing Infill Task Force, and chair of the City Planning Commission.

Tony Powers is currently Decatur City commissioner at-large. He was first elected in 2015.
