Travis is originally from Covington. He has an Associate degree in fire science from Georgia Piedmont Technical College and a Bachelor degree in occupational safety and health technology from Columbia Southern University. He is a father of two children and lives with his wife in East Ward.

Travis is a real estate broker. He works at Hometown Realty Consultants, where he has been for nine years. In addition, he is an emergency medical technician (EMT) at Newton Medical Center, the managing partner at Moore Rentals LLC, and the co-owner of Moxie Fitness. Previously, He worked at Code Blue CPR, Newton County, and Georgia Erosion Sediment Control.
