Voyage ATL, Meet Curtis Brown, Jr. of Build The Crowd in LaGrange

Curtis has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Morehouse College, and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University. Since 2014, he has lived in LaGrange with his wife, Shaundre, and their family. He currently serves on a number of boards, including the LaGrange Development Authority, Three Rivers Regional Commission, Wellstar West Georgia Hospital, and LaGrange College and Trustbuilding Inc.

Curtis currently serves as a full-time faculty member at LaGrange College’s business department teaching marketing and management classes. He also is an entrepreneur. He founded American Business Development Partners, a consulting firm, and is the director of both Build The Crowd, LLC, and Build The Community, Inc.

Curtis Brown Jr. has run for the position of LaGrange city council member twice before, but did not win.

Mark Joel Mitchell is currently a city council member and mayor pro tem representing LaGrange. He has served two terms and was first elected in 2016.
