Tony is married and has three children. He and has family have lived in Rutledge for 13 years. Tony has a bachelor of science in biology and also a degree in medical technology.

Tony is retired. He worked as a laboratory manager at Morgan Memorial Hospital. Tony also used to work as a laboratory manager at several hospitals and laboratories in Macoony. He served in the Navy for 4 years as a Hospital Corpsman and Laboratory Technician.

Tony Sells is currently city council member. He was elected in 2015, and has been in office since 2016 for two terms.
