Atlanta Public Schools, Katie Howard

Katie is originally from Atlanta. She attended Atlanta Public Schools, including Morningside and C.W. Hill elementary schools, Inman Middle School and Grady (Midtown) High School. She has a bachelor's degree in political science and urban studies from Furman University. She lives with her husband, David, and their twin daughters in Grant Park. Her children attend Atlanta Public Schools, and their family attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Katie used to be a senior council aide and a policy advisor for the Atlanta City Council, where she worked for 17 years. She also used to be community outreach and policy advisor for former Fulton County Commissioner Robb Pitts and an administrative assistant for the City of Atlanta municipal clerk's office.

Katie Howard is currently a board of education member for Atlanta public schools. She was first elected in 2021 and has been in office for one term.
