Jonathan has lived in Avondale Estates for about 16 years. He lives with his wife, Tamara Shipley. They have three children together. Jonathan has a Bachelors in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology. He has a Masters degree in Architecture from Clemson University.

Jonathan is an architect. He owns his own architectural business, Jonathan Elmore LLC. He worked as a project architect at McClier until 2000.

Jonathan Elmore is currently the Mayor of Avondale Estates. He was first elected in 2015 and has been in office for one term. He is running for reelection to be Mayor of Avondale Estates. One of his biggest accomplishments was to approve over $120 million in new construction projects.
