Selah City Council: Michael Costello

Michael graduated from Mabton High School. He then earned his Associate of Arts degree in criminal justice from Yakima Valley Community College, and he has completed a variety of law enforcement related trainings. Michael has lived in Selah for over 19 years.

Michael was previously a police officer for the Yakima Police Department. He was hired in 1986, and was promoted to Sergeant in 1996. He retired in 2018. He was also the Yakima Police Patrolman's Association's president.

Michael Costello is currently a city council member. He was elected in 2020 and is serving his first term.
