Julie Cieniawski currently serves as a member of the Scottsdale Unified Governing Board. She was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving his first term. She previously served as president of the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Education Association.

Julie previously worked as an educator at Scottsdale Unified School District and at Mesa Public Schools.

Julie was born in Minnesota. She attended the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. She holds both a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in education from the University of Minnesota. She currently lives in Scottsdale. She is married to her husband, with whom she has 2 children. She volunteered with March of Dimes, Special Olympics, Girl Scouts, and the American Cancer Society, and coached youth sports.
