Mike Pineda is a long-time resident of West Valley and graduated Agua Fria High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a master's degree in secondary education from Grand Canyon University. He lives in Avondale with his wife, Olivia, and their 4 children.

Mike Pineda serves as the Business Program Director at Estrella Mountain Community College and is a residential faculty member. He has previously owned a real estate company and worked as a middle school teacher.

Mike Pineda is currently a member of the Avondale City Council. He was first elected in 2016 and is serving his second term. In 2023, he was elected by the council to serve as Vice Mayor.

Veronica is a lifelong resident of Arizona. She currently serves on the Avondale Contributions Assistance Review Committee and is a member of the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Women Fulfilling Purpose, Women in Municipal Government, and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials. Veronica lives in Avondale with her husband, Terreance, and their 3 sons. They attend Christ Church of the Valley.  

Veronica currently works as a special project technician with the Littleton Elementary School District.
