Ginny previously worked as the program coordinator for the Arizona U.S. Attorney's Office, and as the assistant director of legislative affairs for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality ADEQ.

Ginny Dickey is currently the mayor of Fountain Hills. She was elected in 2018 and is serving her second term. Prior to this, she served for 8 years (2 terms) on the Fountain Hills Town Council. She was elected in 2006 and served until 2014. She also served 8 years (2 terms) on the Fountain Hills Unified School District Board of Education. She was elected in 1994 and served until 2002.
