William C. Price is currently the Early County sheriff. He was elected in 2012 and is serving his third term. William is the first African-American sheriff to serve Early County.

William has a 20-year career in law enforcement. He started out as a dispatcher at the Early County Sheriff's Department, then became the first chief of police to be appointed in 2 cities at once.

William graduated from Early County High School. He is married to his wife, Valerie, with whom he has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He earned his peace officer certification from the police academy, and attended chief school.
