Amy received a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. She is married with three children.

Before becoming Solicitor General, Amy worked as an Assistant District Attorney, a senior Assistant District Attorney, and Chief Assistant District Attorney at the Houston County District Attorney’s office.
