Susan K. Treadaway was sworn in as District Attorney by Governor Brian P. Kemp on June 1, 2023. Ms. Treadaway previously was the Acting District Attorney and Chief Assistant District Attorney for the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit.

Susan began her career in 2004 as Assistant District Attorney for Cherokee County, where she served for four years. She then worked as a prosecutor for 11 years in Cobb County, ultimately working as the Chief Assistant District Attorney of the Cobb Judicial Circuit before her return to Cherokee County in the same role in 2019.

Susan completed her Juris Doctorate degree from Georgia State University in 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida State University in 1999. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Canton, where she chairs the Community Service committee, and is a board member for the Malon D. Mimms Boys & Girls Club. Susan previously was on the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force and as representative chair for the District Attorney on the Child Fatality Review Panel.
