Brian was born and raised in Lavonia and graduated from Franklin County High School. He is married, and has four children. Brian and his family have been living in Franklin County. He has owned and operated a poultry and cattle farm for 20 years and a grading company for 7 years.

Brian has over 10 years of experience as a Deputy Sheriff with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, where he served as a patrol deputy, a member of the I-85 criminal interdiction team, and a K-9 officer. He also has experience as a volunteer firefighter in Franklin County. 

Brian Stovall's campaign for county sheriff is his first entry into politics.

Believes his business acumen and law enforcement background equip him to manage budgets responsibly and uphold laws effectively as Sheriff, ensuring ethical stewardship and protection for Franklin County citizens.

Scott is a third-generation farmer, the President of the Franklin County Cattlemens Association, and the Regional Vice President of the Georgia Cattlemens Association. 

Scott is the current Safety and Security Director of Franklin County Schools and has over 35 years of experience in law enforcement. He is a graduate of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Training program. Previously, he collaborated with the Secret Service during a presidential visit to Greensboro.
