Kenya is from Louisville, Kentucky, and graduated from Central High School. She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental science from the University of Alabama. She currently resides in Fayette County and has three sons. She is a member of the Fayette Democratic Women Organization, Vice President of the Kentucky Colonels, and Vice Chair for the Fayette County Democratic Committee. This is Kenya Wicks' first time running for political office. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff for State Senator Valencia Seay.

Hopes to modernize government contract processes and to encourage growth and prosperity for small businesses.

Valencia is from Atlanta and attended Southside Comprehensive High School and Fulton High School. She holds two degrees in business administration from Fort Valley State College and Georgia State University. 

Valencia serves as managing partner with Val Promotions, LLC and the Georgia Youth Career Center. She has experience as a substitute teacher and working in real estate.
