Chuck Hand is an eighth-generation Georgian, was born in Columbus. He lives in Taylor County with his wife, Mandy. Chuck is a husband, father, and grandfather.

Chuck Hand works in the construction industry as a Construction Superintendent, where he manages and supervises new home-building projects. 

Chuck Hand has not previously held public office. He has served in various roles in the Taylor County Republican Party including Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary. He was also elected as Vice-Chair of the Northern portion of Georgia's Second Congressional District Republican Party.
