- Circuit court clerks are responsible for managing the records of Circuit and District courts. They receive lawsuits and court documents, record and provide legal documents, and must be present during trials. 
- They are also responsible for managing the jury system and scheduling juries. 
- Each county elects one circuit court clerk.
- Circuit court clerks' salaries range from $92,603 to $142,877 based on the population level of the county they serve.
- Candidates for clerk must pass a written test about accounting, record-keeping, and personnel policies.
