Commonwealth's Attorney: Kori Bumgarner

Kori is originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She earned her bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and her law degree from Northern Kentucky University. She lives with her husband and their 2 children in Warren County. 

Kori previously worked as an assistant commonwealth's attorney as well as a staff attorney for two Kentucky circuit court judges, John Grise and Steve Wilson. 

Kori Bumgarner is a commonwealth's attorney in Judicial Circuit 8. She was first appointed in 2023 and is serving her first term. 

As a county prosecutor, she oversees civil and criminal prosecutions, works with law enforcement agencies to gather evidence and investigate criminal and civil violations, and provides legal counsel and representation to state, county, and city officials in lawsuits against the government.

As an assistant prosecutor, oversaw civil and criminal prosecutions, presented pre-trial motions in court, prepared cases for trial, produced legal research, opinions, and documents, and conducted interviews with victims, witnesses, and law enforcement officials.

As a state court clerk, maintained court records, administered and collected court fees, filed and processed official documents, scheduled cases, and ensured the public availability of all court proceedings.
