Sarah is originally from St. Matthews, Kentucky. She earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts from Stephens College for Women. She lives with her husband, Javan, in Louisville. They serve as foster parents. 

Sarah recently worked as the director of community engagement and membership for the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. She is a former early childhood teacher and, she also started a small business focused on providing a natural teething rattle for babies and toddlers.

- Your state representative can author, sponsor, and vote on bills that may become state laws. 
- There are 100 members of the Kentucky House of Representatives, each representing a single district. Representatives must be at least 24 years old and reside in the state for at least two years before their election.
