Matt is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He lives in Georgetown, Kentucky, with his wife, Ashley, and their 2 children. He is a Christian.

Matt currently works as the vice president of enterprise risk management at Toyota Tsusho America. He also runs a small business with his wife. Matt served as a Commissioned Officer for the Kentucky Army National Guard for 20 years.
