Jill was raised in Rexford, Montana. She is married to her husband, Joe, with whom they have two sons together. She currently resides in Helena, Montana. She graduated from Lincoln County High School and received a project management certificate from Villanova University.

Jill is currently retired. She has experience working for the State of Montana with the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS), previously serving as Bureau Chief.

Luke holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Carrol College. He currently resides in Helena, Montana with his wife, Virginia, and their family. He previously served as member of Governing Board for the Montana Digital Academy, and as the Helena Municipal Director and President for the Montana School Boards Association.
