Curtis graduated from the University of Montana. 

Curtis is the general manager for Superior Equipment Rentals and works in Winter Maintenance for the Montana Department of Transportation. Previously, he worked as a forester at Tricon Timber and Sverdsten logging. 

Missoulan: Cochran, Simons vie for Mineral County commision seat

Curtis Cochran ran for the Mineral County Commission in 2008, but did not win. He has been a board member of St. Regis Community Council.
