Adam is married. He has 3 biological and 6 adopted children. 

Adam is the chief executive officer of the Montana Veterans Association. He has previously served as a U.S. Marine, an Arizona and California Army National Guardsman, and a county, city, and federal police officer.

Advocates for strengthening Safety Zone laws to protect the safety and privacy of individuals seeking healthcare. Montana’s Safety Zone law prohibits “approaching within 8 feet of a person” to “protest, counsel, or educate about a health issue” if the person “does not consent” and “is within 36 feet of” a healthcare facility.
