Bill was born and raised in Albemarle and attended Albemarle High School. He attended Stanly Community College and holds a degree in criminal justice from  Pfeiffer University. 

Bill currently works as the regional training director at the Hendrick Automotive Group. He also worked as an Albemarle Police Officer reserve. He is a former president of United Way of Stanly County.

Bill Aldridge currently serves as a member of the Albemarle City Council in District 3. He was appointed to this position in 2014 and elected in 2016. He is serving his second full term.
