Sage studied accounting at North Carolina State University, earned her bachelor's degree in consumer science & marketing from Appalachian State University, and both her master's certificate in GIS geographic information systems and her master's degree in community and regional planning from the University of Florida.

Sage is currently a proprietor. She has worked in the finance & project management fields for 21 years.
