Christina grew up in Orlando, Florida, and graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. She moved to Raleigh in 2012 with her husband, Adam, and they have 2 daughters.

Christina has served as a substitute teacher. She worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years before pivoting to virtual schooling during the pandemic. 

Christina Jones currently serves on the Raleigh City Council. She was first elected in 2022 and is serving her 1st term. She previously served as Chairperson for the North West Citizens Advisory Council.
