Steven earned his associate's degree from Davidson County Community College, bachelor's degree in fire services administration from Fayetteville State University, and master's degree in executive leadership and occupational health and safety from Columbia Southern University. Steven is married to Mandy and has 3 daughters.

Steven works full-time in emergency services and has experience as a small business owner.
