Jamey is married to his wife, Lora, together they have a daughter and 2 sons. He is a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he serves as the treasurer and teaches Bible study.

Jamey served in a police department for 23 years before resigning in 2022. He has also been involved in coaching and mentoring for Ray Childers Elementary Athletics. In 2009, he began working in a family business, gaining experience in business operations and management. Previously, Jamey worked at Rutherford College Elementary School in the After School Program.

She holds a bachelor's degree in English from Woman’s College in Greensboro, NC, as well as a master's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was married to her late husband. Sharon is involved with the Resident Association at Grace Ridge Continuing Care, where she resides, as president and on multiple committees.

Sharon worked for 23 years with Exxon, focusing on marketing, corporate acquisitions, computer systems, and human resources. She also spent 12 years at Carteret Community College, contributing to counseling, recruiting, and training.
