Amanda is a wife and a mother. She earned her bachelor's degree in graphic design and her master's degree in educational & instructional media design from North Carolina State University.

Amanda is a small independent business owner who has founded and operated two educational design firms. She has also taught at NC State in Raleigh. Previously, she has worked as a teacher and counselor for Chatham County Schools and has held the position of Global Marketing Manager.

Amanda Robertson's campaign for the Chatham County Board of Commissioners is her first run for public office.
