Brent earned his associate's degree in construction management from Cape Fear Community College, and his bachelor's degree in business administration from Liberty University. He is married and has a daughter.

Brent currently works in quality assurance and control at the DA Everett Construction Group. He was previously the owner of Springers A Handyman, LLC, and a customer service representative for Lowe's.
