He has served as the past chairman of the City of Charlotte’s Privatization and Competition Advisory Committee and was a member of the 'Charlotte Moves' Mobility Task Force. Jim lives in Mecklenburg County with his wife and their two daughters.

Jim is the founder of Equals 11, a technology consulting firm.
