Brandon attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with highest honors, and earned his law degree from New York University School of Law as a Root-Tilden-Kern Scholar and a Dean’s Scholar. He lives with his wife, Kellie, and their 2 children.

Brandon was a partner at the law firm Robinson Bradshaw, where he specialized in public finance. He began his legal career at the civil rights law firm Ferguson Stein Chambers. Prior to his current role, he has served on various boards and committees, including the Council for Children’s Rights, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Housing Advisory Board, the Levine Museum of the New South, and the city of Charlotte’s Disparity Study Advisory Committee.
