North Carolina

Carla graduated from Central Piedmont Community College, earning her licensed practical nurse diploma. Then she earned her associate's degree from Gaston College, and her bachelor's degree from Winston Salem State University.

Carla previously worked as a hospice nurse and served on the North Carolina Commission for Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services. 

Carla Cunningham currently serves as a state representative for District 106. She was first elected in 2012 and is serving her sixth term.
