Kanika Brown attended Forsyth Technical Community College and studied biology, business, and communication. She also attended Robert B. Glenn High School in Winston-Salem North Carolina. 

Kanika Brown has experience working in HIV and AIDS awareness. She served as a substitute teacher in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools in Forsyth County, and led a Pet Food Pantry in Winston-Salem.
