Nily was born in Jerusalem and raised in Queens. She earned a bachelor's degree from New York University and currently lives in Fresh Meadows. She also served as a member of Community Board 8 and as a member of the Townsend Harris High School Alumni Association.

Prior to her election, Nily was Chief of Staff for Assemblymember Brian Kavanagh.

Nily D. Rozic is an assembly member for District 25. She was elected in 2012 and is serving her sixth term. She was the youngest woman in the state legislature and the first woman to serve the district.
