Clyde grew up in Cambria Heights. He earned his associate's degree in aerospace technology and his bachelor's degree in aviation administration from Farmingdale State College, and he earned his law degree from the Boston University School of Law. He volunteers with the New York Metro chapter of the Black Pilots of America, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and the MIT AI Policy Forum.

Clyde is an intellectual property and business lawyer. He has also been a business owner of a trademark filing service and a restaurant and lounge.
