Jack holds a bachelor's degree in political science and government from American University and a law degree from St. John's University. He lives with his wife Paula and their 4 daughters. 

Jack currently works as a partner at Harris Beach PLLC. He previously worked as vice president and general counsel at J&A Concrete Corporation and is a founding partner of Martins & Silva. 

Jack M. Martins currently serves as a state senator in State Senate District 7. He was first elected in 2010 and served 3 terms from 2010 to 2016. He was re-elected in 2022 and is serving his fourth term. He previously served as the mayor of the Village of Mineola for 2 terms from 2003 to 2010.
