Ron Welch is currently serving as the Muskingum County Prosecutor. He was elected in 2020 and is serving his first term.

Previously, Ron was an assistant prosecuting attorney in the felony division of the Muskingum County Prosecutor's Office. He has also worked as an abuse unit prosecutor for the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office.

Ron is from Stovertown, Ohio and attended Philo High School. He has a bachelors degree in political science and government from The Ohio State University and a law degree from The University of Toledo College of Law. Ron and his wife Erin live in Zanesville and have three children. He is a member of the Muskingum County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association and National District Attorneys Association, NRA, Fraternal Order of Police, Zane Lodge #5 and the Muskingum County Republican Club.
