Edwin is from Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. He earned his bachelor's degree in music education from Wilkes University and has a master's equivalency from Penn State University. He and his late wife, Millie, have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. 

Edwin previously worked as a music teacher and choral director for the Greater Nanticoke Area School District. 

Edwin Pashinski currently serves as State Representative in State Assembly District 121 in Pennsylvania. He was first elected in 2006 and is serving his 9th term. He is the Democratic chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.
