Jared is from Northeast Philadelphia, where he still lives today. He earned a bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College and a law degree from Villanova Law School.

Jared is a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He previously worked for a Philadelphia law firm and served as a JAG officer in the Army Reserves.
