Hadley was born in Pittsburgh. Hadley earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. She is involved with the Sewickley Presbyterian Church.

Hadley has a career in marketing and communications. She previously worked with the Children’s Hospital Foundation and formed the Friends of the Hearing Center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she is chair of the board.
