Carolyn was born Buffalo, New York, but moved to West Goshen, Pennsylvania at age 2. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from West Chester University and her master's in education from Widener University. She lives in West Chester with her husband. They have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. She is involved with the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of West Chester, and the League of Women Voters.

Carolyn currently works as vice president and chief financial officer of Thomas Comitta Associates, a town planning and landscape architecture firm. She previously worked as a public school teacher and curriculum advisor for the Octorara Area School District.

Carolyn T. Comitta is a state senator in State Senate District 19. She was first elected in 2020 and is serving her first term. Previously, she served 2 terms as state representative for the 156th Legislative District from 2017 to 2020. She was mayor of West Chester from 2010 to 2017 and also served on the West Chester Borough Council from 2006 to 2010.

Duane earned his bachelor's degree from William & Mary and a doctorate degree in political science from the University of Delaware.  He lives in Malvern with his wife, Jean, and their son.  

Duane is a professor at West Chester University. He is also a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.

Duane Milne previously served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 167. He served from 2007 to 2018.
