Sarah earned a bachelor's degree in theater from New York University and a master's degree in public affairs and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has 2 children. She is a member of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and serves on the Texas Conference of Urban Counties (CUC) Board of Directors. Eckhardt also serves on the Travis County Bail Bond Board, the Travis County Juvenile Board, and as CEO of Workforce Solutions Capital Area.
