Implemented a Regional Mental Health Co-Response Team that worked directly with local law enforcement agencies in Chelan and Douglas counties to better identify persons in crisis and make available resources that would best assist persons in crisis with the goal of getting them long term results.

Worked closely with County Commissioners and County Administrator to remain fiscally responsible while managing up to a $14 million-dollar annual budget, while providing public safety and Emergency Management services throughout Chelan County and keeping an emphasis on quality training and equipment that translated into great service.

Heather earned her associate's degree from Bellevue College and her bachelor's degree from University of Washington (Bothell). 

Heather is a nurse in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Harborview Medical Center and serves on the King County Board of Health. She has also been a C\charge and staff nurse in a level one trauma center and teaching institution, and she is a former chair of a Unit Practice Council and a former member of the Nursing Practice Council.

Heather Koellen is a city council member in North Bend. She was elected in 2020 and is serving her first term. She also served as a city planning commissioner in North Bend.
